Dear Parents
Many thanks to all the parents and families who so generously supported Lilliput by participating in our fundraisers this school year, thank you all! These fund will go towards upgrading our playgrounds. We are looking into new playground surfacing that meets safety requirements and looks better. This summer we are also hoping to be able to repair more of our Driveway, install paneling in Room 2 and these efforts on your part surely help!

As a note, I am here to serve you. It is important for you to let me know what your needs are for the end of the school year and for the following 2010-2011 school year. Your feedback is valuable to us so that we can provide the programs, and improve our services to meet your future needs.

Sincerely,
Linda Sullivan & the Lilliput Staff

SHREWSBURY PUBLIC KINDERGARTEN SCREENING
Parents have been asking me about Kindergarten screening for children attending the public schools in the fall. In the past they did the screening at Lilliput but due to budget problems, they no longer have the staff to send here

Parents must register their children for public Kindergarten at the school department at 100 Maple Ave. Bring your child’s birth certificate and proof of residency (an electric bill will do). You will then be sent a packet with screening information.

WATCH FOR FALL INFORMATION
This month you will be receiving your end of the year packets telling you what to do if this is your last year at Lilliput, or what to do to prepare for September here at Lilliput.

Your first tuition payment for the fall is due on or before June 1st. If we do not receive your payment on time we will assume you are not planning on sending your child and we will then give the spot to the next child on the waiting list.

HEALTH CHANGES IN YOUR CHILD
From time to time changes may occur in your child’s health and they may need medication when they are at school.

Lilliput cannot administer any medication, even over the counter medication similar to Tylenol or suntan lotion, without a “Permission to Administer Medication” form completed by your doctor.

When your doctor prescribes medication to be administered at school, ask your Doctor to complete this form. The Doctor should have one similar at their office as they are standard forms from the state. Or if you know in advance, you can get this form on our website under “download forms”.

If your child develops new allergies or conditions that may need medication, do not send the medication in the backpack where other children can get at it. Make sure you hand it to the teacher with the permission form.

Thank you!
