Dear Parents
This month has been a fun and busy one for Lilliput. We received our products from our Innisbrook wrapping paper fundraiser and we have delivered all except for a few backordered items. We hope you are happy with the quality of the items. We earned $2847.62 thanks to your efforts. Profits will go towards replacing old broken equipment on our playground. You can order from Innisbrook any time during the year and we will get a percentage of the cost if you use our school number 116272. Again, Thank you!

Teachers held conferences on November 3 and are still in the process of finishing conferences. We hope everyone had a chance to have a good meeting with his or her child's teacher. Please call the school if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year or call if you still need an appointment.

As we get closer to the December Holidays, Lilliput will be introducing children to a variety of holidays celebrated in America. Any parent who would like to share their holiday traditions with us should contact their child's teacher.

I would like to wish you all a very happy holiday season from all of us here at Lilliput. As we share traditions and learn about holidays around the world, we are richer for the experience

Thank you ~ Linda Sullivan

TAX TIME
As tax time approaches, we will be posting our tax identification number in our newsletter each month. If you are working parents you may be able to use Lilliput tuition as a tax deduction. Check with your accountant. Our Tax I.D. number is: 04-3162-287

We ask that you keep track of your receipts as we do not have the billing on computer and must hand write receipts. This can make for a very hectic January for us in the office.

INDEPENDENT DRESSING
Zipping, buttoning, snapping and tying can be a challenge for young children. Choose clothes that encourage independence during the school day. Elastic-waist pants, thick shoe laces or velcro and zippers with large pulls make getting dressed easier.

PLEASE LABEL YOUR CHILD’S CLOTHES
As many children cannot recognize their own things even after they just took them off, and because often times several children in the same class have the same outfits, it is important for parents to label any clothes that can be removed. We have so many nice clothes in our lost and found bins and it is really a shame. If you are missing clothes please check our lost and found bin with the red cover, located by the side stairs near the blue door in the drop-off area.

recycling
Parents are welcome to put in your used newspapers, magazines, paper grocery bags, and single sheets of paper to help us recycle. All paper must be clean, dry and free of foreign objects such as plastic, twine and metal. This recycling bin is for paper only. Tell your friends, they can use it too. Even businesses who want to get rid of paper can use it. The more we collect the better. ABITIBI will even pay us for each load they pick up!!! Although it is a small amount, $6 per ton, we are happy to be recycling.
