Policies and Procedures

Lines of Authority:
If a parent has a problem or concern, they should follow the following lines of authority when addressing the problem:
1.     Talk to the lead teacher first.
2.     If the problem is not resolved, then talk to the Director.

Termination and Suspension:
Lilliput will do it’s very best to adapt and work with parents in order to provide a quality program for each child. In some cases, if after meeting with the parents several times and adapting our program, we still cannot help a child be sucessful, we may need to terminate the child’s enrollment here at Lilliput. We hope to come to this decision jointly with the parent, but if we do not, parents will be notified in writing as to the decision of the school to terminate their child's enrollment.

LILLIPUT WILL TERMINATE A CHILD’S ENROLLMENT FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
1. Lilliput feels it cannot meet the individual needs of the child.
2. The child continues to cause harm to other children.
3. The child cannot separate from the parent and needs another year at home.
4. Payments have not been made in a timely manner.
5. Parents do not follow the policies of the school.
6. Parents fail to produce the required registration forms and medical records.
   
TERMINATION WILL NOT BE FOR:
1. Punishment
2. In order to circumvent referral requirements
3. In violation of the American with Disabilities Act
   
PARENTS WILL BE:
1. Informed of the availability of information and referral for other services
2. Helped by Lilliput in preparing the child for termination or suspension
3. Given written documentation of the reason for termination
4. Lilliput will work with the parents in helping to make this termination as positive as possible.
